Rhubarb season is upon us!

One of my favorite pies (although honestly, they’re all my favorites) can now be found on my pie table! I am currently making a Strawberry Rhubarb pie that uses Amber Oaks Orchards Organic rhubarb and locally sourced pesticide free strawberries. I add orange zest and pure vanilla to wrap this pie up into a bouquet of summer sweetness. A little tangy, a little tart, a little sweet and totally delicious! And before you tell me that you don’t like rhubarb, try a slice. I promise you will change your opinion of this underrated fruit! *Fun Fact* Rhubarb is considered a vegetable in other countries but in 1947 the United States decided to classify it as a fruit because vegetables have a higher tariff.
