Bits and goings on of Ladybug news.

Hi lovelies,

Im trying to have new postings up every Tuesday, to make this website a little more like a blog. We’ll see how long I can keep it up!

So, Im thinking about hiring a person to help me in the kitchen twice a week because summer season and wedding season are kinda running me ragged! This is a big deal in Ladybug land, because one of my goals when I started this business was for it to create jobs. Its always nice to hit a goal, don’t you think? And to help offset the cost of hiring my first employee, Im going to pick up one or two new markets for the weekends. Im thinking of heading down to Palo Alto or San Ramon. Im not interested in San Francisco. What are your thoughts?

xoxo Ladybug

I had to share this picture because it cracks me up every time I look at it. The blockade was to prevent people from cutting between our booths. The banana peel was the secret weapon. One can go a little mad from waking up at 5am on a Sunday. 😉

Here it is, the groove slightly transformed, Just a bit of a break from the norm…

Ahhh, Will Smith. Is there anything that man can’t do? Give birth, be ugly or make pie are my only guesses.

And here is the awkward transition where I move into talking about pie. So Little Ladybug Bakeries summertime fruit pie flavors are here! Every Sunday at the Marin Civic Center Farmers Market in San Raphael I source the ingredients that will go into my pies the following week. Nectarines from Hamlow Ranches, Rhubarb and Blackberries from Amber Oaks Orchards, Peaches from the booth with the really cute farmer (I really need to learn the name of that farm!), Eggs from Wyland Orchards, Sea Salt from The Spicery, Raw, organic milk from Organic Pastures, Strawberries from Tomatero Organics. As you can see, Ive got a bit or a racket going! Hustling from booth to booth, finding the best tasting produce, haggling for the best deal. Its so much fun! Then I have the privilege to transform all those fabulous tasting ingredients into pie filling, cookie dough or biscuit mix then setting up and selling them to you! Life is good for the Ladybug, you can tell by the taste of her baked goods. Come see for yourself this week! See you at the farmers market!
